Giovannoni home, Milan.
Design Elisa Gargan and Stefano Giovannoni
An industrial plant for the testing of water turbines has been converted as an experiment for a new form of hybrid residence, where everyday life and events combine in an unusual, stimulating whirl of relations between the spheres of home and work.
The building is organized on three levels: the entire ground floor is an open space, ten meters high, for events; the second floor contains the studio, the third floor for dwelling. Then there's the basement with the spa, the flat roof with a garden, and the four levels of the corner tower. The studio overlooking the open space below offers a fine view of the events.
